Position Description:

This position will be a member of the Global Applications Organization responsible for professional and technical work related to the design and engineering, planning, implementation and support of Collaboration & Digital Services and related components.

This is an expert role primarily responsible for the strategic, transitional, and design processes which support service implementations in the Global Applications Organization. Services could include but are not limited to Unified Messaging, Collaboration, File Services, Telephony, Conferencing and Streaming, etc. Activities include leading the design, transition, release, and communication of new or changed IT services, continuous service improvement, and interfacing with multiple business areas with the goal of translating business requirements into IT service offerings.

The incumbent facilitates the highest level of support for a particular service and acts much like a liaison between management and less experienced administrators. They will counsel, consult and mentor others regarding services and associated processes. This incumbent will work closely with the Service Owner to develop and implement enterprise-wide short and long-range service strategies. The incumbent will lead budget development, contract management, establishing governance, service evaluation and acquisition and standards development.

Principal Responsibilities :

  • Service Transition Processes: Knowledge Management, Change Management, Asset & Configuration Management, Release & Deployment, Transition Planning & Support, Service Validation & Testing, Evaluation. Service Design Processes: Service Catalog, Service Level Management, Capacity Management, Availability Management, Service Continuity, Information Security, Supplier Management. Responsible for high complexity/criticality services or technologies.

  • Research industry trends and component advancements with the goal of incorporation to service designs to better anticipate and satisfy customer requirements. Evaluate and propose technology solutions which will deliver highly secure and dynamic IT services. Develop detailed designs, business cases including financials, and communicate detailed architecture recommendations needed to support business critical systems and operations. Establish and advocate governance for responsible areas.

  • Own, maintain, publish a standard implementation, and develop a roadmap for one or multiple technologies. Develop new tools and/or processes to provide visibility of performance, cost or other potential areas of improvement. Plan, document, implement, and support systems. Incumbent may be required to do expert configuration or system modifications to those environments. •Resolves advanced problems escalated by team members. Work with/across global/regional/local IT teams by providing expert consultation for responsible services.

  • Document and map workflow and processes using current or new technologies. Vendor relationship and contract management. Assist in budget planning and responsible for budget adherence. Manage complex and multi-disciplinary projects within area of specialization and across functional groups. Provides technical leadership for large project teams. Leads complex problem resolution and documentation which may span functional areas.

  • Participate in an Emergency On-Call Rotation for after-hours and weekend support. Flexible schedules and 24x7 support availability (generally scheduled in advance) may be required as necessary to support the technical needs of our internal customers. May be required to perform activities associated with Service Delivery Management (SDM) or Technical Delivery Management (TDM) of one or more services. SDM includes owning all aspects of a service with an emphasis on technical delivery. TDM includes ownership, maintenance, configuration, incident awareness, and involvement in Problem Management.

Required Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Business Administration or related discipline is required.

  • Master’s Degree is preferred.

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Information Technology.
